Daily Wear: Tea Party

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

With all of my family in town, my immediate family, the girls always go to this English Tea Room near my parents house and have a little tea party.  We do it because my niece loves it.  Who can go, goes.  It ended up that my two sisters, mom, niece and I all gathered together for some tea, sandwiches, and a little bit of shopping.  Of course, it was so much fun!

Daily Wear: Out with the Girls

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

My friends and I went out for dinner and drinks to catch up.  We try to get together every few weeks.  It is a time where we can reflect on our frustrations and joys at work, personally, and anything that we might need to get some advice about.  This last time we went to a downtown restaurant called, “the Pit.”  It is a barbecue restaurant with a downtown feel.  It was wonderful!  :)   We will definitely go again!

Daily Wears: Going to the Chapel…

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

Just not to get married. ;)   Today, we went to church for the morning service and then having my parents over for lunch.  It is yucky outside, wish it was nicer.  Would love to go out and take a walk.  I’ve been looking at taking a pilates or yoga class in my area.  It is really expensive!  I never realized for five sessions, it could be over $100, which I guess, is still a good price.  I don’t know.  I will definitely keep looking!

Daily Wear: Cooking Up in the Kitchen!

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

With getting ready for Thanksgiving, I will be sending most of today in the kitchen.  So I wanted something warm, easy to work in and comfortable.  Of course, that meant jeans (when I’m not in scrubs, you will definitely see me in a pair of jeans).  There is a lot on my baking list, so look forward to the new and some old recipes that I will be blogging about in the next few weeks!

Yesterday, we attend church again and then we ran home to cook lunch for my parents.  It was nice to see them.  Even though, they live in the area, we only see them once every few weeks.  We also shot our annual Christmas card.  We do not have kids, but always send them out to our family, so they can have at least one updated picture of the two of us.  The hubby and I are very creative; however, we just lack Christmas Card creativity.  We will definitely have to look at being more creative next year!  Hope you enjoy the Daily Wear.

Daily Wear: Sunday Blues

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

On Sunday, the hubby and I went to church for the first time since we have been married.  It was nice, but interesting.  I wanted to wear something comfortable, but nice.  Working and wearing scrubs most of the time has really gotten me into a runt with clothing.  I am trying to break out of it, but it is very hard to do.  I will keep trying though! :)

This outfit was from last Saturday.  I’m a little slow in posting considering I worked the past few days.  I wanted to wear something bright and cheery since the weather has been kind of yucky.  This is what I came up with!

Daily Wear: October 9, 2009

Friday, October 9th, 2009

A while ago, I started to do take pictures of my outfits and post them.  I mainly do it for myself, not to gain readers, especially when I generally only have my sisters reading this.  The pictures show me new outfits that I can create with clothes I already have.  A few weeks ago, I made a pack with myself not to buy clothes until I lose a few pounds.  I have gained 11 pounds since my wedding day two years ago and my clothes are starting not to fit.  Instead of buying new clothes to fix the problem, I have started back eating healthy (I lost 25 pounds in the length of our six month engagement) and started to exercise more frequency.  However, instead of losing weight, I have been gaining.  I guess when I finally lose ten pounds, I will be able to go on a shopping spree.  However, in this length of shopping banning, I have began to look at my wardrobe in a whole new light.  I am not daring with my clothes by any means, but I am starting to look at them with more creativity.

Today, I will be cleaning the house and preparing for my best friend coming into town.  I am very excited!!!!  Sorry, I have not posted my latest creative projects.  Work has been very frustrating so the creative stuff has to be postpone.  My lastest creative projects have been sewing and I generally lose my temper with it very easily because I am in the beginning stages.  I will try to pick it back up today, if I have time after cleaning the house and possibly going for a walk.
