Inspired Clothing: Picnicing in December

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Christmas is coming and I am beyond excited.  Christmas is by far my favorite holiday.  It’s not the receiving of gifts that make me so excited, but the giving of them and just enjoying my family’s company.  I saw this print by Lisa Evan’s Illustrations and it made me feel in the Christmas spirit.  You can find her other works here.

Inspired Clothing: Falling November

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

November has been a very busy month, so I am a lot late on posting this! The Robin Song by Heavenly Creatures Art reminded me of the bright & soft blues we can see in the fall going into the winter season.  I felt inspired to create an outfit around it.  You can buy this art work at Etsy.   You never know what you can find on Etsy these days!  I love searching just to find out what people make.

Inspired Clothing: Texas in October

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Today, I did an outfit based of a photo my hubby took. You can buy the photo or his other works at deadlypenguin.etsy.com. This is one of my favorite he has taken because it describes my family almost to a “T.”  Being raised by two native Texans and having two siblings who were raised in Texas, you learn a lot about the culture.  I am a bit sad that I wasn’t raised there; however, I met my husband in the state I was raised.  :)   So it all happens for a reason!

The outfit isn’t very Texan, but I tried.
