I will be back in graduate school in a mere few days. Tea makes me feel calm and collected. This picture is by TMI Creations is called Morning Mirage and it could be found here. Even though I am a bit anxious about a new semester, I will be getting into my program classes and am very excited about learning the material. The best part is that it will help me improve in my current job. Hope you enjoy!

Inspired Clothing: In Style’s July 2010 Issue

Several weeks ago, I received the July issue of In Style. I was amazed by the Bachelorette date night idea section. I know something so simply impresses me all the time! I am very easily amused. Here is one idea, date #4, where I was inspired and recreated with my own clothes! You will definitely have to tell me what you think.

I do not own a military like jacket, so I substituted with a button down striped shirt. The dress and shirt are both from Target. The belt is from Goodwill and the shoes are from Nine West.

Inspired Clothing: In Style, June 2010 Issue

In Style Magazine is very inspirational to me. Being the average person, who goes to work and comes home, I often find that I am in a rut with clothes. I do not know what to buy and I have a hard time finding something for my age. I’m no longer a teenager; however, I do not want to dress older than what I am. It is extremely hard at times to dress when you are in your Mid to Late twenties and I am the queen of not finding that happy medium. However, In Style frequently gives me ideas of what to wear or even how to wear something. I am able to find things in my closet and reinvent them. This is a wonderful example.

This top is something I have had for years. I first bought it in college for a “clubbing” shirt and it has been in my closet every since, but I have not worn it in years and have not wanted to give it away just yet. The jean shirt I bought at Goodwill this year, the shorts are from Ebay and the shoes are another example of college wear! Love the new look and how I reinvented each piece!

Sorry for the delay in blogging. It has been very crazy with starting up graduate school, getting into the swing of school again, still working full time, and helping out whenever possible with my mom’s health. However, as I was looking at shopbop.com, which I sadly just recently found. I realized that I needed a study/writing a paper break. I was inspired to “copy” one of Tibi Runway “collection” from Spring 2010. I, of course, received this photo from ShopBop.com and I only used the clothes I currently have. I did not go out and buy any, that would completely defeat the purpose. I love trying new clothing combinations with the clothes I already have. It feels like I went on a shopping spree! But this one is only for a special occasion and I would probably add a few accessories!

My dress is from JCrew and I dyed it blue from off white several months ago and the shoes are so old I can’t remember where I bought them from!

Lately, I have been trying to really focus on looking more put together and well rounded. I want to look great and in style when I go out shopping, especially when I wear scrubs ALL the time. This inspiration piece I found in January’s In Style Magazine. I can’t wait until I am actually able to wear it out and around. It is not only effortless, but comfortable as well. Two things I definitely treasure dearly!

With Valentine’s Day coming up, I thought it was necessarily to do an inspired clothing. This year the hubby & I aren’t really doing anything special nor do we make a “big” deal out of Valentine’s Day. We usually just go out to dinner and get each other something small. I think this year we are just doing a date night. Any ways, I have really gotten into this robot kick and I saw this illustrated work and just had to do an inspired clothing off it of. Inspired Clothing: Especially For You

My older sister has been having some problems with clothing. She lives in rural Ohio and is not able to shop when she can. She enlisted me to help her. She gave me the following specifications that she wanted:

1) Keep the outfit reasonably priced

2) I would like a layered look using “autumn colors”, but you can include turquoise and teal in addition to the usual autumn colors.

3) Keep in mind that I’m bigger on bottom than on top.

I wanted to keep it fashionable, but not too crazy for rural Ohio.

This New Years, I am all about the sparkle. I don’t know what it is, especially since I have never been really a sparkle girl. I was inspired by “Waves of Sparkle” by Trophies. This time around I created two different outfits, both with the same accessories.
