Christmas is one of my favorite holidays! It is around the corner & I am alrighty getting very excited. This Christmas we are trying to cut cost, be creative, more thoughtful & make homemade gifts. This is my first shot at hand sewing Christmas ornaments.

Crafts to Remember: Dresser Continues

Tonight, I was “called off” of work. So basically I had the whole night to myself, since the hubby usually likes to play video games or spend “him” time when I am working, so I continued the dresser. I was able to finish stripping & sanding the dresser portion. Now, all I have to do is strip & sand the mirror & then its off to pick out stain & hardware. YAY! Never thought I would finish it tonight! I was determined though!

Crafts to Remember: Refinishing Dresser

I’ve been in the process of refinishing an old dresser that was my grandmother’s for the past several months. It was on hold for a few months while I finished other projects and today I started it again. It is very time consuming & my patience level is not where it should be. I’m so ready to have it done, I didn’t realize how much hard work I’ve already placed in it. For the rest of today, I probably won’t pick up the project again, but I’ll continue to work on my patience level with it. This is what it started out like. Sorry for the cluttered room. The drawers to the dresser are done… Now, I just have to worry about the rest of the dresser. Edit: Progress up until this post:
